Information and Conditions of Entry: You must comply with the conditions of entry. By completing your ENTRY FORM for this event you are acknowledging that you have read, understood and agreed to comply with the conditions of entry. If you make an incorrect payment on the payment gateway ie put your own club name in the Entity to Pay rather than Catherine Hill Bay it will be your responsibility to make a payment to the correct entity and recovery your money from your surf club. No Entry will be taken where an incorrect payment has been made.

Race 1: Endurance
Race 2: Eliminator
Race 3: Sprint
$30.00 per competitor
$40 entry fee per U17 competitor who choose to compete in their own and/or the Open age group.
Late entry fee (received after 5pm Friday 15 December 2017) will incur an additional fee of $10 per competitor.
Saturday 16th December 2017 4pm-5pm (all competitors)
Sunday 17th December 7.30am – 8.30am (U10 – U13) and 10.15-10.45am (U14 – Open).
Late entries will be accepted until close of registration – 8.30am (U10-U13) & 10.45am (U14-Open).
Individual Point Score will be conducted over each race. Each race, competitors points will be accumulated. The competitors with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd highest points in each age and gender will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions at the conclusion of the competition. In the event of a tie for 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in the point score series, the winner of the position that has tied will be decided by way of a count back.
The Catho Board Challenge awards cash prizes.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
The Catho Board Challenge 2017 will be run according to the SLSA Surf Sports Manual, 35th Edition.
Entry to the Catho Board Challenge 2017 is restricted to registered, qualified and proficient members of
surf lifesaving clubs who have fulfilled their Club, patrol, financial and other membership obligations. If it is determined that you have not fulfilled these requirements you will not be eligible to compete in this event.
Age Categories for the 2017/18 Season, and additional requirements are as follows:
- Open – 15 years of age or older (Bronze Medallion).
- U/17 - (Bronze Medallion).
- U/15 - (SRC).
- U17 may compete in their own and Open age groups for an additional fee. No other age are permitted to enter an older age group.
- Competitors must have completed the proficiency for their 2017/18 age group.
Club caps and hi-vis pink competition singlets MUST be worn
Competitors will be given a unique identification number which must be worn/displayed for the duration of the event.
No outside assistance or individual escorts will be permitted.
All competitors must comply with the rules as set out in the 35th Edition of the Surf Sports Manual.
Subject to safety considerations, the Carnival Referee has the discretion to change/shorten the course.
In the event of dangerous surf conditions, event may be cancelled or relocated.
The Carnival Referee reserves the right to disqualify any athlete/s or team/s or take other disciplinary action as may be deemed necessary.
